Ibuprofen vs Paracetamol: What is the Difference?

Ibuprofen and paracetamol work in the body in different ways. The main difference between ibuprofen and paracetamol is that ibuprofen reduces inflammation. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) meaning that it helps to reduce inflammation.1

Ibuprofen can be used treat fever and ease pain, swelling and redness associated by the following symptoms:2

  • Headaches
  • Back pain
  • Muscle pain
  • Period pain
  • Joint pain (including arthritis)
  • Dental pain
  • Pain related to cold and flu

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug effective for inflammation-related pain.

No other ibuprofen has been proven to be more effective for joint pain.

Flarin has been demonstrated in a clinical trial to provide highly effective relief from joint pain. Philip Conaghan, Professor of Musculoskeletal Medicine, commented “We now have good clinical evidence to show that combining ibuprofen in a lipid formulation can provide effective flare up control”.

Flarin is as effective as twice the dose of standard OTC ibuprofen.

Pain relief as effective as double the standard ibuprofen dose, particularly for those with joint, muscular and back pain. Flarin is suitable for customers who have not previously obtained sufficient pain relief from other ibuprofen or NSAID products.

“Tried this after trying to cope with a painful neck. I find it helps a lot on painful days. I definitely recommend”

Who is Flarin suitable for?

Flarin is for adults who are experiencing joint and back pain. Joint pain flare ups usually lasts for a few days and can last for over a week. Flarin is indicated for the relief of rheumatic or muscular pain, joint pain, back pain and other types of pain (see patient information leaflets).

As well as relieving pain, Flarin 200mg soft capsules is indicated for pain of non serious arthritic conditions and can help to control the underlying inflammation of a flare-up by reducing swelling and stiffness.
